Friends & Family

These are our long time friends. Evonne and her husband Yian Sann. The girl across Huili is Evonne cousin Ling. We had good time eating Singapore chicken rice.

Aunt Evonne with Kawai. Since everyone speak Chinese here, he goes by his Chinese name TianLe (teeanLe) make sure not leee ok! :-) Everywhere we go, people are sooo interested of seeing how Kawai look like, being part Chinese and white. We will try to find a modeling agency to see how he can get into it. People always comment on how often he smiles.

This is Huili's brother Ming Fai. He has a little girl name Jia-en. Very cute cousins. Its fun seeing them being together as they know they are the only ones to be related to. Huili and brother are only children.

This is with Grandma. Jia-en has a good attitude for taking pictures

Kawai's adventure to Asia

Prior to leaving, we notice at the airport we forget to bring a single luggage, an important one. So for the past two weeks, I had no computer to access downloads and updates on our blog until now! I can't say how much we appreciate our laptop.

This was Kawai's first plane ride anywhere. I am happy he was a good boy and most importantly thankful for Japan airlines to having open seats :-) Many options to fly to Asia but Japan Air for cost and most important a bassinet was used. Imagine that most airlines (american planes) don't have this!?!?! They want the infant to be on our lap for 8 plus 7 hours! That's crazy. We don't live in third world you know?

We arrived in Japan and stayed over a night. It was nice and resting.

Baby can't wait to end this fun ride and enjoy.. He was kicking with me as I watched Avatar

We are here!! We arrived 5:30pm. I will continue later with our two weeks being here seeing places and being with friends and family. Aloha!

Sunset & Kawai's First Live Concert

This Sunset was taken near our home. It's easy for me to take it for granted being living here for some time. I recall being in the ocean maybe 10 times last year, Crazy.. We only a 2 min drive away..

This concert was great! I always wanted to see a local O'ahu group called 'Natural Vibrations' live and now it came true. It was suppose to be a Band Championship deal with youth battling it out for a chance to compete in O'ahu to get a record label. And at the ending part finally, the band performing. I was so happy to hear this group and so was Kawai. He latched onto my arm and enjoying this Hawaiian/Raggae music.

I can sit up now!

Kawai is now able to 85 % sit up right by himself. He starts to timber when he gets distracted. He is now more a little man with his comprehension with his surroundings.

This is his new play station kid version 1.1. He has a tolerance of a half hour then that's it! out he comes.

Yaaahuuu! I just won the jack pot!!

In this video, we are amazed with his ability to handle the pen. He is trying to have his brain and hand work together and he so cute because his Innocent trying to do it look. The best part of this video is he becomes frustrated with the pen and grabs it in lightning speed.

Kawai and Alamea

KAWAI LOVES TO READ & HANG OUT

One day at work, I was not having a fantastic day. Huili out of nowhere sent me this photo on my phone and I could not get over it from laughing! Kawai is a good baby and seldom crys so when he does or give this sad puppy face, it melts anyone with a heart.

Like I said, he is a happy baby so sad puppy face is gone

Ok, back to normal..

I had too much to drink last night..

Not! Just kidding.. never enough for milk!

Dad, if Grandma Chung know what your eating.. she will give you this face ...

Aaiiyah, that is making you fat! hahahaha!

KAWAI'S 6 MONTH CHECK UP

I took this photo because people who meet Kawai loves to pinch his chubby legs. I don't blame them because I like to bite them :-) and Kawai is ticklish.

Did his weight and measurements

Kawai likes to be in different positions. Today he likes this and its funny how he looks up at me with those angel eyes...

YUP! My Dad got my back!

SITTING UP BY HIMSELF AND EATING ALREADY

Kawai and Alamea resting on the grass talking story.

Kawai enjoying time petting Alamea. Alamea is very loving and protective of Kawai

Alamea is thinking "this is really getting out of hand", but thats ok because I love this kid.

What?!! Like try some too?

Kawai is now on fast track in growing into discovery with everything. Its wild to see him sit up on his own and take in food, he has gained many skills very quickly.

Flash from the past, Wade at 14 months

My mom gave me a bunch of 8mm film of the past and no one in our family has seen any of it for 35 plus years! I used my iPhone to capture parts of it and downloaded it on my computer to see. On this video is me and my mom. I'm just thankful for having this chance to see me at that age in motion and I have more.

Whobbling Dance

Hello all! We gone to this Mexican restaurant and while Huili was rocking side to side, Kawai felt its good to motion his legs with the motion as well. I hope in the future he becomes a runner of some sort because since 8 weeks in the opu (stomach), Kawai's legs never stop moving!

Taking Bio C

This video shows Kawai taking Bio C. Bio C is a supplement we take from Nutrilite. 1/4 pill is needed and have it crushed and mix with mom's milk. Its sour taste is a new discovery for him. I must say that this method to get rid of a cold works. He gets it out from being sick in a day, maybe two. Im happy that he don't mind taking it and awesome that he enjoys it!

Family Shopping & Walking

There are a lot of great reasons for living in Hawaii. I believe that its a perfect place for life as long you don't need to worry about money! Actually, its anywhere. We are in Kona today and it is usually nice to have a walk. Since we have a dog, it gives us another reason for exercise.

Another day doing chores. Today, the entire family got together and gone to Home Depot for supplies.

Playing with Daddy

Me and Kawai like to take time to play. Huili hates that some of those times are late at night because it causes Kawai to be hyper and prolongs his time to go sleep. The funny thing is I read on-line that its a common argument that parents have towards each other of the dad keeping kids up late to play.. :-)

where did the new born baby gone?

Hello ALL, next week Kawai is 6 months!!??!?!!??!! Its been fast and I know I should enjoy the stages but letting go the new born idea is hard. He is cute and funny now but I know from wisdom of others that its a fast past to aging. Kawai can now hold his head up and understand somewhat of the surroundings. Its funny of how as parents able to adjust to being a parent. I know there are more things to happen and discover but I rather not know because of the joy it will bring.

Oh Hi, excuse me but Im wrestling with my mom.. Are you counting? I think its past 3!

Hey.. it wasnt me. Who ate too much meat, its really stinky! hahaha

Kawai making new friends.. Amazing how he can manage to balance himself.

Having fun.. (that's how we change diaper when it's cold or rainy outside)

Ohana
(We got a bush fire recently around our neighbourhood, so the fire crew came to announce our neighbourhood got a mandatory evacuation. So off we all pack up our ohana & important documents in our car, and went to the harbor/ beach down the road to wait. In the meantime, we enjoyed sometime taking photos, watching sunset & whales playing while watching the fire from afar. All & all, when everything is cleared, we got to go back home around 10pm :)

Kawai spending some time with Friends and Family

Kawai is 5 months old now :) We got to be in Honoka'a area one day and we had to stop at Aunty Lily's home- (Aunty Lily is my Mom (Anderson)'s close cousin). We have not been in that area for sometime. We are glad we had the chance to introduce family.

This is Aunty Debbie- (Daddy's childhood friend's Mom, she came welcome me when I was born in hospital). I remember her for a long time since birth, 5 months. We see each other at times in the hospital as she pick up people and when we have appointments.
